Mikhail and Margaret | The Engagement

So this couple walks into an engagement session........and they can't stop laughing, giggling and having fun. I am a firm believer that when you're photographing people its important to let their personalities shine. Its not about what I want them to do or how I want them to pose, its the inbetween interactions and happenings that truely capture who the couple is, Im just there to get them started and capture what happens next. Throughout the session I kept saying "be serious" knowing full well it would last about half a second and made for some nice in between moments. Mikhail and Margaret thank you for hanging with me and I can't wait for your wedding in just a few short weeks! I know its going to be CRAZY fun!!

Bridal Blogs

I won't make any excuses for my lack of blogging lately, but seriously I just had a baby ;) Now that I have finally settled in to a somewhat normal routine I can again focus on work and all things wedding! To keep up with some of the latest wedding trends and just for the sake of knowing whats out there, I love to visit wedding blogs to see what all the brides are into. One thing I have found in doing that though, is that there are SO many blogs that it really can suck the life out of you and be overwhelming to the point its just not fun anymore. So when I was asked to do help out on a shoot for The Wedding Yentas I was delighted! I love the fact that there are bridal blogs out there geared for a specific bride, that can help you with cultural traditions. Being Armenian I know that this is exceptionally important and finding resources that cater towards a more modern bride can often be difficult. The Wedding Yentas is geared towards the Jewish bride and it was started by my good friend Nicky and her business partner Alison. They have some really great information on their blog so definately check them out. This shoot was done to show off some boleros for those brides that need some coverage during their ceremony but want to wear a strapless gown. The Boleros where provided by Shauna's World and are absolutely beautiful!
